Community Relief Ltd is governed by an independent Board of Directors responsible for strategic direction, financial oversight and compliance.

Community Relief Ltd is constituted exclusively to provide benevolent relief to people in Australia who are in need, due to poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution or helplessness.
Our activities are directed at vulnerable individuals and families in South-East Queensland. The organisation does not exist for private benefit. No profits, income or assets are distributable to members, directors or associates.
Upon registration, Community Relief Ltd will comply in full with all five ACNC Governance Standards, including purpose, accountability, governance documentation and conflict of interest management.
Annual financial statements will be lodged with the ACNC and made publicly available. The company maintains proper financial records in accordance with the Corporations Act and Australian Accounting Standards.

The Board maintains and enforces a formal conflict of interest policy. Directors are required to disclose any actual or perceived conflicts and recuse themselves from relevant decisions.
Community Relief Ltd will publish an annual report detailing program activities, financial position, governance matters and relief delivered. This will be lodged with the ACNC Annual Information Statement.
All volunteers and staff working with vulnerable persons will complete safeguarding training and hold appropriate Working with Children and Blue Card checks as required under Queensland law.
